I had no idea what I was walking in to. I'd never been on a radio show before and the segment was scheduled to last for 2 hours. Holy Moley - what were we going to talk about for 2 hours?! I'm used to doing 30 second commercials. Nowadays we learn in marketing - the shorter the better - peoples attention spans are short and they want the bullet points and shortened version of anything and everything.

However, I soon as I walked in Pat greeted me with a large smile and hug; he put me completely at ease. Jeff was friendly, outgoing and I loved his Batman shirt.

We opened up with talking about the 35th Annual Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival for 2018 and quickly migrated to chatting about all of the attractions and destination spots in the Inland Empire region from restaurants to wineries to museums to hotels and even the weird haunted places such as the Chimes in Lake Elsinore.

We soon digressed to talking about classical literature:

Herman Melville who wrote "Moby Dick, " Nathaniel Hawthorne and his "Scarlet Letter," Charles Dickens and his famous book "Great Expectations," "Tale of Two Cities," Hemingway and his book, "Old Man of the Sea," Willa Cather who wrote "O Pioneers!," and Anton Chekhov who wrote "Three Sisters," and Jack London who is famous for his books, "White Fang" and "Call of the Wild," and Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein," and more!

Quotes by Victor Hugo digressed into solving social problems of modern day society such as overcrowded jails and a shortage of credentialed teachers for California's public school systems.

They were brilliant on any subject and so amicable that I easily chatted with them and the time flew by! I couldn't believe it when our two hours was up as it felt like only 10 minutes had passed and I could talk for many more hours about the culturally rich yet humble and sweet nature of our valley and all that it has to offer. We are blessed.

Check out the interview - it's entertaining and vibrant! Not a dull moment.

Thank you Jeff and Pat from the Jeff Sargent Show on KaoticRadio.com for the invite! I was humbled and honored to be a guest on your show. I hope we can do it again soon!

Here's our episode - Enjoy :)
